Halo Skin Resurfacing Laser

At Village Dermatology, we are pleased to offer you the newest advances in laser skin resurfacing. HALO™ is a revolutionary laser treatment and is the ONLY treatment that uses two lasers at the same time. This means that multiple layers of skin are being treated simultaneously. Why is this such a big deal? We know you want results with fewer treatments, and you are most likely too busy to have a week or more of downtime.

In just a few treatments with the Halo Laser, you will be reunited with the skin of your youth.  To put it simply, you will have the coveted “HALO glow”! You can expect three to four days of downtime, but that may vary depending on the level of your customized treatment.

Candidates for Halo Laser Treatment

Think you might be a candidate for Halo laser skin resurfacing treatments but are not quite sure what specific concerns this laser treats?  Here are some common things that we treat with this laser:

  • Sun Damage
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Wrinkles and Fine Lines
  • Scars (including Acne Scars)
  • Signs of Aging
  • Uneven Skin Tone

Most importantly, Halo can be used all Fitzpatrick Skin Types, which makes this laser one of the very few on the market that can achieve such safety and efficacy.

What to expect with your Halo™ treatment

Pre-Halo Treatment

Before any procedure is started, it is vital that you meet with our dermatology team to ensure you are an ideal candidate for the treatment.  Once you have a thorough consultation with our team, we will prepare a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.

The Halo Treatment

The Halo procedure itself only takes about 30-45 minutes to complete.  You will be given numbing cream before the treatment is started to help minimize any discomfort you may have during the procedure.  Most individuals report a slight prickling sensation and some increased heat in the area being treated.

Post-Halo Treatment

After your Halo treatment, your skin may feel like it has a slight sunburn.  That is normal.  It will also be normal to experience a little tenderness in the areas that were treated.  You will need to stay out of any unnecessary sun exposure and use a high-quality sunscreen to ensure you are protecting the skin while it heals.   Extra steps to get the most out of your Halo treatment will be provided as you want to nourish your skin with products and avoid anything that will be harsh or abrasive during this time.  Most individuals can return to work within 48 hours, and can use makeup with 24 hours.
