Profractional™ Laser Treatment

ProFractional™ Laser Therapy is a skin resurfacing treatment and is one of the most effective treatments available for crepey, wrinkled skin, fine lines and wrinkles uneven texture, and scars.

Our Sciton ProFractional™ laser uses laser energy to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin which are surrounded by areas of healthy, untreated skin. The zones of untreated skin invigorate the body’s natural healing process, and the treated areas stimulate the production of new collagen, plumping up the skin and smoothing out wrinkles, lines, scars, and other irregularities.

The downtime varies from patient to patient but will generally take from five to seven days. Immediately following the procedure you will feel as if you have a significant sunburn. You will have minor sloughing and itchiness over the next few days, then redness will begin to fade and by day seven, any redness can be easily covered by makeup. This time frame varies based on the depth of your treatment and your body’s ability to heal. Smoking, sun exposure, and poor skincare may lead to delayed healing and undesirable outcome.

Within weeks, your treated skin will feel smoother, fine wrinkles and pores will be less noticeable, and sunspots, scar, and uneven pigmentation will fade. Maximum results will take 3-6 months to fully appreciate. To protect your investment, a good skincare regimen and vigilant sun protection are essential.

Full face treatments may be done, but we often combine ProFractional™ laser with our very popular HALO™ treatment. The HALO™ treats the entire face, and then, at the same visit, the ProFractional™ laser targets problem areas such as the skin around the eyes and/or mouth.
