Kristy P. Curl, DO, FAOCD

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Kristy Proctor Curl, Board Certified Dermatologist, has joined Village Dermatology. Dr. Curl specializes in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology and comes to us from Charlotte, North Carolina where she has been in private practice at Dermatology Practice of the Carolinas for the past 3 years.

Kristy grew up in Trussville, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in 1998 before pursuing her medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Missouri. She completed her medical training as dermatology resident at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri in June of 2008.

Dr. Curl is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.

“I am thrilled to be returning home to Birmingham to join Dr. Sobera, Shelley, and the team at Village Dermatology,” says Dr. Curl. “Dr. Sobera has created such an innovative facility here and the practice is growing quickly as a result. Patient service and education are important to her, and I am committed to maintaining that standard as I practice here.”

Dr. Sobera says, “I knew when I met Dr. Curl over a year ago that she was the ideal candidate for our practice. She is proficient in general dermatologic surgery and has significant clinical experience with various dermal fillers, Botox, and laser treatments. Most importantly, she has a high level of concern for patients and I know our patients will be comfortable with her.”
